Jeden z najbardziej znanych estońskich zespołów muzycznych na świecie. Został założony w 1981 r. przez Tõnu Kaljuste, który przez 20 lat był jego dyrektorem artystycznym i głównym dyrygentem. W latach2001–2007 funkcję tę przejął angielski muzyk Paul Hillier. Następnie, w latach 2008–2013, dyrektorem artystycznymi głównym dyrygentem był Daniel Reuss, a w latach 2014–2021 – Kaspars Putniņš. Od sierpnia 2021 r. funkcje dyrektora artystycznego i głównego dyrygenta pełni ponownie Tõnu Kaljuste.
Repertuar chóru obejmuje muzykę od chorału gregoriańskiego przez barok po utwory XXI w., ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem twórczości kompozytorów estońskich, takich jak Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Galina Grigorjewa, Toivo Tulev, Tõnu Kõrvits czy Helena Tulve. W każdym sezonie zespół daje około 60–70 koncertów, zarówno w Estonii, jak i za granicą. Kolejnym ważnym aspektem działalności zespołu są nagrania (ECM, Virgin Classics,Carus, Harmonia Mundi i Ondine), co zaowocowało wielokrotnie nagradzanymi płytami CD. Nagrania EPCC dwukrotnie zdobyły nagrodę Grammy za najlepsze wykonanie chóralne: w 2007 r. za album Da Pacem (Harmonia Mundi) Arvo Pärta pod batutą Paula Hilliera oraz Adam’s Lament (ECM) Pärta pod kierunkiem Tõnu Kaljuste. W sumie chór ma na swoim koncie 16 nominacji do nagrody Grammy za
nagrania utworów Arvo Pärta, Erkki-Svena Tüüra oraz muzyki krajów nordyckich. W 2018 r. ukazał się album Schnittke – Psalms of Repentance. Pärt – Magnificat & Nunc dimittis (BIS) pod dyrekcją Kasparsa Putniņša; otrzymał Gramophone Classical Music Award. Nagrania EPCC zdobyły także Diapason d’Or, Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, Danish Music Award, Choc de l’année 2014 magazynu „Classica” i in. W 2020 r. „BBC Music Magazine” uznał EPCC za jeden z 10 najlepszych chórów na świecie.

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) is one of the best-known Estonian music ensembles in the world. The EPCC was founded in 1981 by Tõnu Kaljuste, who was the artistic director and chief conductor for twenty years. In the years 2001–2007, the English musician Paul Hillier took over. Between the years 2008–2013 the artistic director and chief conductor was Daniel Reuss and in the years 2014–2021 Kaspars Putniņš. Since August 2021 the artistic director and chief conductor is Tõnu Kaljuste. The repertoire of the choir extends from Gregorian chant and baroque to the music of the 21st century, with a special focus on the work of Estonian composers, such as Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Galina Grigoryeva, Toivo Tulev, Tõnu Kõrvits, Helena Tulve, and introducing their output to the world. Each season the choir gives about 60–70 concerts both in Estonia and abroad.

Another important aspect in the choir’s life is recording music (for ECM, Virgin Classics, Carus, Harmonia Mundi and Ondine), resulting in various award-winning CDs. The EPCC recordings have twice won a Grammy-Award for Best Choral Performance: in 2007 for the album of Arvo Pärt’s Da Pacem (Harmonia Mundi) with conductor Paul Hillier and Arvo Pärt’s Adam’s Lament (ECM) with conductor Tõnu Kaljuste. All in all, the choir has 16 Grammy nominations with works by Arvo Pärt, Erkki-Sven Tüür and the music from the Nordic countries. In 2018 the recording „Schnittke – Psalms of Repentance.
