The progressive integration of the organ with digital technologies means that we are currently dealing with the greatest revolution in this field since the organ-making breakthrough in the Romantic era. We can already assume that despite its ancient roots, the organ will become a real instrument of the future. It is its modern face that interests us especially during events run under the common title TransOrganic.
In the last part of the series, which is also a journey around the NFM Main Hall, we will learn how organ sounds are perceived by musicians performing on stage. This is where the audience will be invited when Jan Paweł Przegendza premieres a new work by Alina Dzięcioł, whose grand Sonata for piano and computer was premiered at last year’s Musica Electronica Nova. Dzięcioł is a composition student in Agata Zubel’s class at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. She has already received a number of awards and distinctions for her work, including in the Tadeusz Baird Young Composers’ Competition, The Matan Givol International Composers Competition in Tel Aviv, 11th Zygmunt Mycielski Composition Competition, and Vienna’s Over the Rainbow. Compositions for Human Rights. She is also a graduate of BA studies in accordion at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
