We invite you to the evening closing this year’s Forum Musicum. During the great ball, Renaissance dances will be presented and taught, so everyone will be able to take part in the fun.
During the final concert of Forum Musicum, whose tradition is to end with a dance party for the audience, the Alta ensemble will perform, playing on historical instruments and promoting early music, with particular emphasis on the works of the Polish and European Renaissance. It brings together professional artists specializing in the performance of secular and religious music from the 15th to 17th century. Since its inception, it has been associated with the Lublin Castle and has gradually expanded its activity to perform successfully throughout Poland and internationally. During the concerts, the artists present the listeners with the sound of old instruments, such as: lutes, shawms, pommers, harp, cornamuse, viola da gamba, flutes, fiddle and hurdy-gurdy.
The Amatum Dance Theatre will help us learn the choreography. It brings together artists specialising in historical dances. Their repertoire includes court dances from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, 19th-century salon dances, Polish national dances and dances from the 1920s and 1930s. The theatre has appeared at festivals and family city picnics, it also runs workshops. Amatum’s portfolio includes appearances in film and television productions. The Artistic Director is Robert Lubera – a dancer, choreographer and producer.
